In 2020, Hadassah founded The Law of Tech to bridge the communication gap between legal practitioners and technologists. When Marco joined her in 2021, they formed a team dedicated to connecting law and tech through practical, hands-on approaches.
Today, The Law of Tech delivers actionable solutions to integrate people, processes, and technology for better legal service delivery.

Hadassah Drukarch - Co-Founder and Director of Research and Content
As a specialist in technology policy and governance, my passion lies in simplifying the evolving AI regulatory landscape and creating actionable roadmaps to empower people and businesses.
As the Director of Policy and Delivery at the Responsible AI Institute, she collaborates with industry, academia, policymakers, and regulators to develop and scale the delivery of assessments and certification programs, governance tools and templates, regulatory advice, and training to various organizations, including Fortune 500 companies.
Extending her passion for responsible and empowering innovation to the legal industry, she also co-founded The Law of Tech (TLOT), a Legal Tech Do-Tank that aims to empower legal teams to use and experiment with Legal Tech - one use case at a time.
Her research advances the governance of AI systems, with a particular focus on the role of transparency in advancing accountable and trustworthy robotics and AI, as evidenced through multiple EU-funded projects.
Marco Mendola - Co-Founder and Director of Relationships & Community
Marco Mendola ia a Legal Technologist in the UK national law firm TLT LLP as part of the FutureLaw Team. He has 7+ years of professional experience in the UK, including legal tech and UX design roles alongside co-founding The Law of Tech.
Marco delivers compelling results for legal innovation by leveraging relationships. he has shaped my legal background and experience to excel in implementing legal tech products, with a focus on contract review and document automation platforms. He optimises output from feedback and refinea digital services iteratively.
Marco has a proven track record in project management and excela in providing educational training, mastering interactive workshops, and cultivating communities driven by a shared purpose.
Nir Golan - Advisory Board Member
Nir is a product leader at Recital, a startup focused on developing streamlined contract software for legal and business teams. His expertise encompasses product management, strategy, and execution, specialising in contracts, legal operations, and legal technology. Nir has a rich background in leading transformative tech-based solutions for law departments and law firms, including his previous role as head of Elevate's solutioning team.
Prior to joining Elevate, Nir held various leadership roles in legal and legal operations within tech companies and founded his own legaltech and operations consultancy, as well as practising as a tech and M&A lawyer in the emerging technologies space.
Chris Williams - Advisory Board Member
Chris Williams is a seasoned expert in bridging policy, law, and digital technologies, with a decade-long track record of spearheading innovation and business development in regulated industries. He currently heads GTM at Leya where he employs a multidisciplinary approach that integrates technology to help individuals and organizations effectively navigate digital complexities. Chris's engagement in the legal tech community through speaking, award judging, and active participation enhances his commitment to fostering a universal language for stakeholder involvement and innovation.
Driven by creativity, community, and a pioneering spirit, Chris is committed to transforming traditional industries by advocating for technological integration and empowering people to utilize technology to improve their lives. His mission centers on challenging the status quo, modernizing conventional sectors, and enhancing the role of knowledge and people in driving significant changes.
Marc May - Advisory Board Member
Marc May is an innovator and advocate for legal ops, currently serving as the Head of Marketing at Document Drafter, a no-code document automation company. As a non-practising solicitor with over seven years of experience in legal document automation and CLM, Marc has managed large teams and major projects, including global CLM rollouts and extensive document automation initiatives.
In addition to his role at Document Drafter, Marc is the founder of The Legal Technologist magazine and My Legal Marketplace, platforms dedicated to advancing the field of legal tech and legal ops. He is passionate about bringing people into legal ops, as well as promoting Bristol as a center of excellence for legal tech/ops.
Anna Posthumus Meyjes - Advisory Board Member
Anna Posthumus Meyjes is a legal designer and founder of Aclara Legal Design. She brings creativity, design and a user-centered approach to law. Aclara Legal Design helps you improve the usability of your legal information: from inaccessible, dense legal documents to engaging, easy-to-use legal content your stakeholders will be happy to read.
Anna worked as an attorney-at-law in an international litigation practice for over ten years, amongst others at a top-tier Dutch law firm. Designing and using clarifying visualizations became an increasingly important part of her communication and inspired her to start Aclara Legal Design.
Nine Bennink - Advisory Board Member
Nine Bennink is a legal expert in the digital world, focusing on privacy and AI. She has worked 10 years as an attorney-at-law and a consultant and currently serves as the senior privacy counsel at International Card Services (ICS). Nine's passion for law and tech was there already even before she started law school in the Netherlands, through the futuristic films she watched as a kid about technology and robots.
Alongside her career, Nine sits on the board of the Dutch Association for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Law (NVAIR). In addition, she is a regular speaker on topics at the intersection of technology and law.
